Phats & Small





Ben Ofoedu is a vocalist you will well know if you have listened to radio in the UK in the last 20 years: he is, of course, the original vocalist of duo Phats & Small,

As well as being the high profile well documented partner of Vanessa Feltz, Ben has also been a regular presenter in a number of other places such as MTV Select and Trouble TV where he fronted shows along with the likes of the esteemed Richard Blackwood, Tess Daly, Cat Deeley, Ben Shephard, June Sarong and Edith Bowman.

A very popular figure in UK celebrity culture, Ben has also been on the Celebrity version of ITV’s Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, Channel 4’s Celebrity Wife Swap and in many pantos up and down the country playing a range of roles.

In 1993, Ofoedu joined the band Benz, and in 1999 he became the singer of Phats and Small.

He released a solo single called Your Love in 2000 and in 2001 joined a new band called REDhill, which included Boyzone's Shane Lynch.

The following year he joined another music collaboration, The Intenso Project, and then over the next three years he teamed up with three more bands for one-off singles and concerts.

In 2005 he joined Four Story who went on to appear on Making Your Mind Up in the hope of representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song “Hand on my Heart”.

He was also in the boyband supergroup 'Boyz On Block' With Abz Love (5ive) Dane Bowers (Another Level) Shayne Lynch (Bozone) & tounge & cheeky club & festival show 'Abz & Small' with Abz Love (5ive)

Most famously, it was his hit singles ‘Turn Around’ 'Tonight' & and ‘Feel Good’ – all of which placed highly in the UK chart – that helped give Ben his household name.
