RENE DIF

René Dif is a Danish musician, singer-songwriter, DJ and actor, best known as the male lead vocalist of the Danish-Norwegian eurodance group Aqua.

As part of Aqua the most profitable Danish band ever, Rene Dif has sold an estimated thirty-three million albums and singles worldwide.

The group was created in 1989 and went on to achieve crossover success around the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Aqua released three albums starting with Aquarium in 1997 & managed to top the UK Singles Chart with three of their singles.

The band is made up of vocalists René Dif and Lene Nystrøm, Guitarist Claus Norreen and keyboardist Søren Rasted. During the split of the band Dif, Rasted and Nystrøm all achieved success on the charts as soloists. Norreen stayed within the music industry and went on to remix other artists material. On 26 October 2007 thousands of fans were over the moon as Aqua announced a reunion tour and released a compilation album featuring new material.

In both 1998 and 2001 Aqua won the Danish Music Awards and also the World Music Awards, leading them to continue touring to this day.

When not on tour, The Aqua frontman is now available for DJ sets performing a ’Back To The 90’s’ party set or late night EDM ’Guilty Pleasures’ sets upon request.
